Seminar: Kristiina Tambets | Demographic history of Europe through the lens of ancient DNA

The studies of ancient DNA extracted from certain archaeological contexts have opened new avenues to shed light on the prehistory of our species. In my presentation I will give an overview of the recent genomic research done by the ancient DNA work group at the Institute of Genomics and will focus on the migrations and admixture processes that have taken place in Europe and on the Eastern coast of the Baltic Sea during last millennia.
