Myxomycetes: from historical collections to modern species

Myxomycetes have gained people's attention throughout the centuries because of their enigmatic life cycle and complex fruiting bodies. In this seminar I will present results of my work on the taxonomy of the Arcyria genus (myxomycetes) and bridge the value of historical collections, literature data and citizen science with the contemporary species concepts.
