The role of plant-arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal communication in sustainable agriculture

We contend that the relationship between crop diversity and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi could be influenced by the composition of molecular signals, such as strigolactones and flavonoids, present in plant exudates. The findings highlight the role that chemical diversity may play in mediating the relationships between crops and AMF diversity in sustainable agricultural management.
