Modelling biodiversity change across scales and levels of ecological organization

Dr. Juliano Sarmento Cabral (University of Birmingham, United Kingdom) 

In this talk, I will give an overview of approaches for modelling biodiversity dynamics at different levels of ecological organization (from individual to ecosystems). This overview will be contextualized with a few examples of my own research, focusing on forest dynamics and vascular epiphytes as well as on eco-evolutionary feedbacks on islands and island-like systems. Finally, I will provide anoverview of current research of my team.
