The Lichen Team of the University of Tartu (UT Lichen Team) is a group of researchers and graduate students who study lichens. Our research includes a variety of subjects related to lichens: systematics, species relationships and delimitation of evolutionarily significant units; species ecology and distribution, and the factors affecting these; lichens in Estonia, their distribution patterns, endangered species, and species protection; lichens as indicators for different factors or objects (e.g. air pollution, forest continuity, valuable forest sites).
