Applied Ecology

The workgroup is led by Arvo Tullus (arvo.tullus@ut.ee).

The workgroup of Applied Ecology studies how different ecosystems (natural or planted forests, wetlands, degraded landscapes) adapt to environmental changes (climate and land-use change) and analyses the results of such ecophysiological fundamental research from an applied perspective, thereby making conclusions and recommendations for managing habitats and using ecosystem services (such as carbon sequestration and climate regulation, or using plant biomass for production).
