Ecology of Biological Interactions

The workgroup is led by Prof. Leho Tedersoo (leho.tedersoo@ut.ee).

The workgroup of Ecology of Biological Interactions seeks answers to a wide array of scientific questions. While at first our workgroup mainly focussed on plant-fungal interactions in the form of ectomycorrhizas, we now deal with very large scale studies that encompass the biogeography of all soil eukaryotes.

In addition, our workgroup is involved with research in the following areas: diversity and host specificity of plant pathogens and endophytes; interactions between fungi and soil animals, such as Collembolas; the systematics of fungi.
