Intraspecific variation in plant-microbe interactions: implications for biodiversity and ecosystem functioning

Dr. Jenalle Eck

Mutualistic and pathogenic microbes are key drivers of biodiversity and functionality in plant communities worldwide. Though the mechanisms by which microbes drive these factors are shared across ecosystems, how variation within species affects the outcome of plant-microbe interactions is unclear. In this talk, I will present insights into the role of intraspecific variability in shaping ecological and evolutionary dynamics in plant and microbial systems.
