On 13 November 2026, from 1 pm to 3 pm. Webinar to introduce the operating principles of ‘green laboratories’ – that is, laboratories that prioritise sustainability, energy efficiency and environmental protection.
The webinar is primarily intended for university staff and students involved in laboratory work.
The aim of the information session is to introduce various recognised voluntary certification schemes for sustainable laboratories. The presentations will be given in English by practitioners from the ENLIGHT network of green laboratories at universities, who already have the relevant certification system in place in their own laboratories.
We will introduce three different voluntary recognition schemes: My Green Lab, LEAF and SPARKHub. Experience in other laboratories has shown that a green laboratory also leads to better-thought-out laboratory practices, as well as financial and resource savings. Learning through practical experience helps to consider what could be implemented in our own laboratories. Voluntary certification schemes create the motivation to systematically improve laboratories and make them more efficient.
The webinar will take place on Teams and will be recorded.
We would be grateful if you could register in advance here; registration is optional and data will be used only for sharing information about particular webinar.
The link to the meeting will also be sent by email to all registrants the day before the meeting.
