The long barcode adventure
In this talk, I will demonstrate the potential of PacBio-based long-read DNA metabarcoding for understanding biodiversity, based on our recent analyses of global soil fungal richness. I will show how to tackle the unique bioinformatic challenges associated with analyzing such data, and will discuss statistical modeling approaches to biodiversity analysis.
