Tangled in the wood-wide-web: is there a light at the end of the tunnel?
In my talk, I will give an overview on the past and present of the wood-wide-web i.e. common mycorrhizal networks, and my attempts to study them with fluorescent nanoparticles (FNPs). Advantages and caveats of different methods for studying these plant-fungal interactions will be discussed based on my work and that of others.
