Diversity trends and ecology of microbial communities in the rhizosphere and bulk soil of mountain ecosystems
Alpine ecosystems provide a dynamic ecological setting where seasonal and successional patterns demand specific co-existence strategies among plant and with microbes. The focus of my PhD studies addresses these short- and long-term changes by investigating plant-microbial relationships in the Austrian Alps and Himalayas through glacier forefield transects and seasonal studies while assessing microbial communities, physiology, and abiotic factors.
