Seminar: Alexandre Robin-Soriano | Ecology of the Arbuscular Mycorrhizae and Reduction of the Water Consumption in Date palm Cultivation in an Hyperarid Desert

The date palm is an essential crop both culturally and economically in arid areas of Northern Africa and Western Asia but its cultivation is very water consuming and is endangering non-renewable water stocks. In this thesis I studied how fungal communities and arbuscular mycorrhizae could participate in the adaptation of these agrosystems toward a more water saving and durable agriculture.
